Summer has officially begun at the Price house, and so far it has been noticeably better than last summer.
We joined our neighborhood club pool last summer. We had high hopes that Wyatt would enjoy being outside, playing in the water, soaking up the sun (as much as we can allow a very pale red-head to soak), but it didn't go as well as we'd hoped. But still, we plugged along.
We went several weekdays, just to decompress at the end of the workday. The best part about our pool is the ability to bring your own food and drinks in at any time. We brought dinner and a cooler and setup shop for the evening. Sounds amazing, right? Well, not with stubborn ol' Wyatt.
Wyatt has been "not-so-easy" from Day 3 of his life... you know, the day that we all went home from the bliss of the hospital and the real world met us with a fist full of colic and broken dreams? That was the day. Even last summer, he was a hard kid to please. Even the pool, the BYOB, the bliss of summer couldn't make him super happy. We toughed it out, and now we've found ourselves to the Summer of 2017...
And bam - just like that, we have a kiddo who actually has started to enjoy things in life! I know it is hard to believe, but it is true! He has enjoyed our first week of pool membership and has even ventured around the kiddie pool on his own. We have now instituted a standing Wednesday night pool night with my #MomTribe and ensuing brood that comes with them.

All in all, I am so thankful for summer. And I am so thankful that we can start enjoying it all more with a growing boy!
