Wyatt: 7 Month Update

It has been a wild 7 months!

Diapers: Size 3
Clothes: 9 months - well on our way to 9-12 months
Favorite foods: bananas and apples and Plum Organics Super Puffs
Milestones: pulling himself up to sit, crawling backwards, pulling up (with Daddy's help) to stand and first Valentine's Day!

Wow! This little guy is growing so fast. He still loves mornings the best. He has been needing a bottle overnight lately, which is super annoying after you are used to a good 12 hours of sleep. He is constantly moving. His latest obsession is with flipping onto his tummy while he is getting a diaper change. He finds that super hilarious! Wyatt's afternoons with Mommy before Dad get home can be a bit loud, so we are trying to take advantage of the weather and get some walks in before dinner.

Wyatt is ALMOST on the move. Just this week, he started pulling himself along on the carpet by grabbing with his arms outstretched them pulling his whole body toward the object or location he is aiming for, without actually getting up on his knees. He can crawl on all fours... but only backwards and only a couple inches at a time. Scarlet is trying to help, but this has been a frustrating process for him. He may skip crawling altogether and just walk.

Mark, what are you teaching our son?!?!

Wyatt wants to stand up so bad. He just holds out his arms so you will lift him up onto his feet so he can stand there. He has started moving his legs to try a walking motion, but he usually just drags them from side to side. We got him a walker to help him realize how to get his feet under him and move them in such a way that he moves around. He's not yet realized he has all of this power within him! :)

My favorite Valentine of all time.

Wyatt had a special Valentine's Day weekend. We celebrated Daddy's birthday on Saturday. Wyatt picked out a card and beef jerky for Dad's gift. We spent some time outside - Wyatt's first patio dining! - and tried to be as nice to Daddy as we could. On Sunday, we went to church, dressed in our Vday outfits, then had a little family lunch at Pei Wei. After Wyatt's nap - he loved us enough to nap for 2 and a half hours! - we went bowling. Wyatt was amazed at all the sights and sounds.

I have a suspicion that our 8 month update will be a bit more ... on the move...
